Let me show you my private photographs of Venice and take you there through a photo journey. I am not a photographer but I think it is extremely easy to take amazing photos wherever you are in the city. I’ll show you the city’s charming architecture, take you to the colourful nearby islands and show you romantic views right from a gondola. This is a follow up post from 7 Things You Must Do When Travelling to Venice as the photographs are just too perfect to not share with you. Sorry if there are too many but I’m sure you’ll understand!
Architecture in Venice
Buildings in Venice are incredible, it makes you wonder how the city is still standing. So worn down yet so charming. The walls, balconies with flower pots and narrow streets will make for an Instagram perfect picture. Especially recommended for fashion bloggers!
Murano, Burano and Lido Islands
If you get a chance you should definitely visit Murano, famous for glassblowing and Burano, famous for lace making. Buildings there are very colourful and the atmosphere is peaceful which makes for a great trip especially if you can visit both islands. You’ll also find plenty of restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops. You can also catch a free glassblowing show in Murano. Lido on the other hand, is a great destination for when it’s sunny as this is where you will find a beach.
Journey on a gondola
The photographs I am most proud of are of the canals and gondola pictures. If you do go on a ride be careful not to drop your camera in the water. If you don’t, you can still snap beautiful pictures of them passing under bridges. You can also take beautiful cityscape photos from water taxis if you don’t want to go on a gondola. I actually got quite sea sick by going on the water taxis too much, but it was so worth it to be able to see those views!
